For sale is a lake lot at Lakeshore Camp Resort in Portage, Indiana, a weekend getaway that we call “poor man’s paradise”. The campground is only open from April to October, but during that time are tons of activities scheduled. There are three pools, an adult beach, a family beach, miniature golf, a playground, an arcade, and more. The campground is designed for kids with activities every weekend during the summer, and for adults with either a DJ or a band that plays every weekend. This used to be a Yogi Bear Campground facility, but the name has now changed. This is an owner’s campground, so you own the lot and must pay taxes and a monthly HOA; this is not a rental lot. The lot sits right on the lake, ready for your custom ideas for landscaping. You do have direct access to the lake for fishing/boating; however, you must build the infrastructure, such as a deck or landing. There is a beautiful 10 X 10 gazebo that can be moved. The camper is a 2006 Northwood Arctic Fox 27E with a built-in working propane generator for off-grid power. The unit can sleep 6 comfortably as a bunk bed model with a fold-out couch and table that turn into sleeping beds. This is a great place to raise your kids or grandchildren and have a “not so quiet” place to call a second home.
